Buyer's Agency
How Does Someone Choose a Buyer's Agent

Check the yellow pages in the telephone book, review real estate publications, talk to friends, and word of mouth. The next step is to contact a real estate brokerage firm and ask, "Are you a buyer's broker," and if yes, set up an appointment.

During the interview, ask questions on how they will represent you, the buyer, what services you can expect to receive, and how the buyer's agent expects to be compensated for the services they provide.

Review the Right to Represent Buyer Agreement. If items in the agreement are unclear, ask for an explanation. Also, you may want legal counsel to review the agreement before you sign.

NOTE: Bel-Cross Properties does not require you sign a buyer agency agreement. However, it is recommended as it places in written form what is expected from the parties to the agreement and the type property the buyer is looking to purchase.
